Nipun Kumar Malhotra is the co-founder and CEO of the Nipman Foundation. He has been involved in litigation on accessible buses, legal recognition of Indian Sign Language, insurance for PwDs, and portrayal of PwDs in films. He instituted the Nipman Foundation Equal Opportunity Awards in 2014 to recognize companies and institutions empowering PwDs. He is the founder of Wheels For Life, a crowdfunded wheelchair distribution platform that has impacted close to 2,000 lives. He trains accessibility auditors who have audited and provided recommendations for disability friendly infrastructure in transport, events, public buildings, and private offices. In the lead up to the 2024 national elections in India, he launched charter of persons with disabilities having taken inputs from 80+ organisations that was endorsed representatives of 10 political parties. His memoir, “No muscle, full hustle” is scheduled to be published later this year.
