Stefanie is the Founder and Executive Director of Project LETS (Let’s Erase the Stigma); a national grassroots organization and movement led by and for folks with lived experience of mental illness/madness, Disability, trauma, and neurodivergence. Stefanie's work specializes in building peer support collectives and community mental health care structures outside of state-sanctioned systems of “care” -- grounded in principles of anti-racism and Disability/Transformative/Healing Justice. Since the start of quarantine, Stef led a Crisis Response Training that over 400+ people registered for in addition to creating a Disability Justice Mutual Aid Network for RI (the largest mutual aid network in RI!). The mutual aid network distributed over 25K to low/no-income immunocompromised, Disabled, and mad/mentally ill folx and a trauma healing fund for black folks (which sent 65+ Black Disabled folks $9K+ in response to the current moment).
