Mr. Peng was diagnosed with leprosy when he was 14 and was isolated in leprosy village for more than 60 years in Sian Island, Guangdong province, China. Despite of wearing prosthesis and loss of fingers, at the age of 50 he self-taught to learn painting and calligraphy. At 70, he had his first exhibition. People started to buy paintings from him. He donated all his money to help the peers affected by leprosy. He also encourages his peers to fight for their rights and voice to government. Last year, he traveled to 5 leprosy villages in Guangdong and collected the needs and problems from their peers. After that, he donated 10000 yuan to purchase one refrigerator, one motorcycle to two leprosy communities and the rest of money was given to local charity for making 2 new prostheses for persons affected by leprosy, so that they could stand up again and live a dignified life.
