Dorothy Mwende Mueni is a disability inclusion advocate, athlete, human resources professional, and Rotarian committed to advancing inclusion, peace, digital democracy, and climate action. A member of the Rotary Club of Nairobi North, Dorothy uses sport as a platform for empowerment and representation, having represented Kenya in goalball, powerlifting, and cycling competitions. Over the past year, she has supported people with newly acquired disabilities by connecting them with mentorship, psychosocial support, and essential services through relationships with key duty bearers. She has also championed inclusive climate action campaigns and civic participation initiatives that amplify the voices of young people and people with disabilities. In 2025, Dorothy was selected to represent Kenya at a powerlifting competition in Mersin, Türkiye, further highlighting her leadership in adaptive sport. Her community work has also led to invitations to speak at forums on disability inclusion, youth empowerment, and peacebuilding. Through advocacy, sport, and community engagement, Dorothy continues to create opportunities for disabled people to participate fully and lead change.
