Founder and CEO, The Purpl Co Limited
UK
Georgina Colman is the founder of Purpl, the UK’s first discount platform created specifically for disabled people. Motivated by the rising cost of living and the lack of financial support tailored to the disabled community, Georgina launched Purpl to help offset the average £1,010 in extra monthly expenses disabled people face. Since its founding, the platform has partnered with major brands like Morrisons, where members can save up to £12 per shop. Collectively, Purpl users have saved over £300,000 across £1 million in spending. Georgina also promotes disabled entrepreneurs, supports charities, and shares essential financial advice—including benefits and grant access—via a Facebook group and through TikTok, where she’s garnered over 1 million views. In 2025, she received the Disability Smart Leader Award and Rakuten’s Social Impact Award. Her long-term vision is to grow Purpl into a national success and launch a foundation that offers grants to disabled individuals facing financial hardship. For Georgina, the mission is simple: empower the community first.
