Self Advocate for Inclusion - I M Possible & SMAART

Keya Hatkar is a 13 year-old studying in class 8 from Mumbai, India. She is a two-time national award winning Author, Podcaster, Artist, and a Coder. She has written two books, 'DANCING ON MY WHEELS’, and ‘I M POSSIBLE!’ both of which became best-sellers nationally. She received a national award for each of them amongst 2 entries from children across India. She is also a hand and digital artist who podcasts in her free time. Through her work she tries to spread awareness on Rare Diseases in India. She volunteers as a self advocate for a non-profit intiative called I M Possible & SMAART launched by her mother and her to spread awareness about rare diseases with focus on prevention, in India. They fundraise for SMA affected children through CSR and NON-CSR channels and are working to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for those suffering with rare diseases through skill development.
