Abhishek Kumar is an environmental lawyer and the ideator, founder, and curator of The Sangyan [linktr.ee/sangyan] working on the intersectionality of Law, Environment & Disability. As NCPEDP-Javed Abidi Fellow on Disability, he's pursuing data-driven and evidence-based research, advocacy, and campaign endeavors on disproportionate impact of Climate Change on PwDs. He advocates for disability-inclusive climate action at national and international forums, including CBA18, UN India, UNICEF NYHQ, COSP15, G20 India, 68th UN CSW, International Purple Fest, OP Jindal Global University, Rotary Club of World Disability Advocacy, etc. He's advocating for National Mission on Climate Change and Vulnerable Communities and curating Build Forward Better campaign. He drafted 'Charter of Demands' for the call to action for disability justice and curated interview series, 'Ulgualan Talks!', to document lived experiences of PwDs regarding the impacts of climate change.
