Muhammad Atif Sheikh is a Disability-inclusive development activist with over 20 years of experience. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) to include disabled people in mainstream society. Muhammad has been globally recognized for his contribution to rights-based legislation for persons with disabilities in developing countries. He has closely worked people with disabilities from transgender, indigenous and ethnically marginalized communities at the national and international level 
Over the past year, he created employment opportunities for around 10,000 persons with disabilities through the establishment of a Disability Job Center. He designed and managed a state-of-the-art school serving 240 children with disabilities in the rural area of Pakistan. Muhammad Atif also established the Center for Research on Inclusive Development, the first-ever research center for research on disabilities rights in South Asian region
