Esther is a young woman with physical disability in Masaka, Uganda. She is a strong advocate for the rights of disabled mothers. She has been working with Masaka Police and Probation and Welfare Officer, Masaka District to ensure that men who sexually abuse disabled mothers face the law. So far over 10 disabled mothers have received fair justice. As of January 2020, she has now organized 20 disabled mothers into a community group called "Support Organization of Parents with disabilities'‘. Between July 2019 to June 2020, 5 disabled mothers from Kabonera Sub County, Kyanamukaka Sub County and Bukomansimbi District have been united to the fathers of their children who had refused to take care of them. Two (2) men were arrested by Masaka police and awaiting charges for sexually abusing disabled mothers. She has held one successful campaign to end sexual violence against disabled mothers in Masaka District.
