Millie makes a difference daily by nurturing individuals, encouraging people to connect and share ideas with one another in order make an impact collectively. Whether it's supporting local mutual aid efforts, organizing Reelabilities Film Festival events, dancing on a New York City stage, facilitating virtual communities for folx with disabilities, advocating for national systems change or going to a summer concert, Millie centers cross-disability perspectives and voices in everything she does. Last year, Millie was elected secretary of the Union Beach Office of Emergency Management, co- founded the NJ Disability Collective (advocacy group), is a member the NJ Covid-19 Disability Action Committee and has created and/or facilitates a number of online communities for disabled folx. She serves on several non-profit boards, leads an annual empowerment retreat for disabled adults and proudly represented the Garden State as Ms. Wheelchair NJ 2019 with the platform- Live fiercely through self care.
