In 2021, Natasha Trehan launched a podcast advocating for youth with rheumatic diseases, then founded Take a Pain Check Foundation (TAPC), leading a team of 50 volunteers. She secured over $50,000 in grants, reached 5000 individuals worldwide, and formed partnerships with esteemed organizations. During 2023-2024, she presented at the American College of Rheumatology Conference, initiated the STEM Without Limits scholarship, and designed an ergonomic backpack with Arthritis Society Canada and Matt & Nat. She conducted workshops at the Canadian Rheumatology Association Conference, spoke at the Canadian Pain Society, and initiated a global campaign where landmarks were lit in blue for World Young Rheumatic Disease Day. She spoke to French medical students at the University of Ottawa, participated in a panel for the Childhood Arthritis & Beyond conference, and won the Mary Pack Volunteer Award. She designed initiatives like the Teen Backpack Program providing support for youth with rheumatic diseases.
