Amos Miller taps into advancements in technology and human ingenuity to make a difference. He lost his sight in his teens. He Is a computer science graduate, and earned his MBA from London Business School. He was the chairman of Guidedogs in the UK and later in Singapore, and worked at Microsoft where he developed Soundscape, a leading navigation app for the blind. He invented Glide, a new autonomous mobility aid for the blind, and in January of 2023 he founded Glidance to develop and commercialize the product. With the help of his world-class founding team he engages closely with the blindness community, who consider Glide to be one of the most important technological developments since the screen reader. In 2012 he accepted an award from Queen Elizabeth the II on behalf of Guidedogs, and In April 2024 he was proud to accept the Edison award on behalf of Glidance. He is married and a father to a wonderful 17-year-old and lives in Seattle where he enjoys skiing and kayaking as time allows.
