As Head of Accessibility Engineering Evangelism, Jennison Asuncion drives use of digital accessibility standards at the largest online professional network, LinkedIn. Business Insider recently named him among " 30 power players helping new CEO Ryan Roslansky run LinkedIn." Additionally, since 1999, he has co-directed the Adaptech Research Network, a team of academics, students and consumers researching the use of technology by Canadian postsecondary students with disabilities. May 21, 2020, was the 9th Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), an annual event Jennison co-founded to raise awareness of digital accessibility and inclusion. Despite COVID-19, there were 200+ online GAAD events and activities. In September 2019, Jennison spoke at Reflections Projections, the largest student-run tech conference in the US Midwest, giving him a unique chance to discuss the importance of and careers in digital accessibility to future computer scientists and engineers.
