Hello, 2018! As we enter the new year, we loved the idea of starting fresh, new beginnings... almost like a blank canvas.
We know that disability is diverse and mental health conditions are a part of that. We couldn't be bigger believers in self-care and the healing power of art therapy, so our first event of the year will be around making art, exercising creativity, and prioritizing self-care.
Join us for our first self-care afternoon:
New Year, Blank Canvas: Paint & Wine Down
An afternoon of art, creativity, and self-care.
Date & time: Saturday, January 13 from 2-5pm PT
Location: ThoughtWorks, 814 Mission Street, SF
This will be a fun and relaxing afternoon with painting, drinks and light bites. Please wear clothes that you would be ok accidentally getting paint on (but we're hoping that doesn't happen)!
You'll leave this event with a new piece of art that you can gift to yourself or someone else. The cost of your ticket goes to cover paint supplies, drinks, light bites, and other event costs. Extra fundsgo to support future programming. If the cost of a ticket is a barrier to your attendance, email us (info@mydiversability.com) and we would be happy to work with you to find a way for you to attend.
This event is open to the public so bring your friends. People of all abilities and from all communities are invited and welcome.
Venue is wheelchair accessible. There is also a gender neutral bathroom at ThoughtWorks. For additional accommodation requests, please email Tiffany at info@mydiversability.com by Friday, January 5.
