Diversability Founder Tiffany Yu Named to Inaugural Forbes Accessibility 100 List
Tiffany Yu, founder of Diversability, has been named to the inaugural Forbes Accessibility 100, a global list recognizing the top innovators and impact-makers working to advance accessibility and disability inclusion.
This honor celebrates Yu’s over 15-year journey of building a movement rooted in disability pride, culture, and collective power. What began as a desire to find community has grown into a global platform helping to reshape how the world sees disability.
“A younger version of myself could’ve only dreamed of being recognized in this way,” Yu wrote in a social media post announcing the news.
Through her leadership, Yu has driven impact across sectors by:
Building disability power through Diversability, a global community that celebrates disability pride and amplifies disabled voices
Fostering allyship through her book The Anti-Ableist Manifesto and her ongoing social media series The Anti-Ableism Series (now with over 300 posts)
Fueling disability innovation by investing in over 100 projects across 16 countries through the Awesome Foundation Disability Chapter and the Disability Empowerment Endowed Fund
Driving systemic change through civic leadership, including her service on the NIH National Advisory Board on Medical Rehabilitation Research
For the purposes of this list, Forbes defines “Accessibility” as software, devices, and services that allow people with disabilities to have access to information, content, public spaces, and experiences.
The Forbes Accessibility 100, spearheaded by Forbes Assistant Managing Editor Alan Schwarz with support from an expert advisory panel, was compiled through interviews with more than 400 experts.
“Accessibility is a fascinating space that has never been captured like this before,” said Schwarz. “There are lone innovators, juggernaut tech companies, startups. They are revolutionizing how people get around, learn, communicate, work, play sports, travel, and so much more. Their impact on people’s lives is monumental—and will only be getting more so soon.”
“Let’s keep building a world that works better for all of us,” Yu added.
