“I have learned that each part of my story is needed regardless of the outcome.” - Alyssa Brown

Alyssa Brown (she/her) is a disabled content creator who aims to make a difference through content by sharing her experiences. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at age 2, Alyssa has also experienced multiple diagnoses of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety. From these experiences, she has learned the importance of self-advocacy and building meaningful relationships with her care team.

As a result of her disabilities, Alyssa has lost friendships and experienced challenges when those around her did not understand. From job searches to communicating with health insurance companies, she has faced extreme stress when navigating situations as a disabled person. To cope and find resources, Alyssa has intentionally joined online communities of disabled people.

Alyssa hopes to continue building connections within the disabled community through content creation. “I love creating because I know I am making a difference in the world. If not for others, myself.”  You can follow Alyssa’s journey here on TikTok alyssabandcerebralpalsy, YouTube Alyssa B and Cerebral Palsy, and Instagram @abandcerebralpalsy
