Raja Imran Hussain is a disability rights advocate, social entrepreneur, and founder of SPRING Association. As a polio survivor, he experienced exclusion throughout his life and witnessed how people with disabilities are often isolated by society and even their own families. These experiences inspired him to become a leading voice for disability inclusion, accessibility, equal rights, and political representation. Raja has founded disability cricket initiatives across South Asia and works to advance economic empowerment, youth leadership, and accessible policies. Over the past year, he supported 623 people with disabilities in securing quota-based jobs in government and semi-government institutions, trained 264 individuals in soft skills and remote work, and supported 46 entrepreneurs by connecting them with markets and chambers of commerce. He is also the only person with a disability in Pakistan’s history to contest the General Elections twice. Through his advocacy and social entrepreneurship, Raja is helping expand economic opportunity and political participation for people with disabilities. In 2022, he received certification in Social Entrepreneurship from the Asian Productivity Organization for his social impact work.
