Timothy Harte is a disability advocate and PhD candidate in materials chemistry whose work bridges sustainable energy research and global disability leadership. In 2024, they became the youngest-ever Chair of an Australian OPD as President of Physical Disability Australia and the youngest Chair of a government disability advisory committee. They co-founded ChemAbility, a network supporting disabled chemists within the Australian Chemical Institute. Tim also contributed to global youth representation through the Commonwealth Youth Code of Practice and the Global Network of Young Persons with Disabilities. With multiple publications and advocacy roles, they are shaping science and policy to be more inclusive, accessible, and representative.
