To mark the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Office of Human Resources, Department of Management Strategy, Policy and Compliance of the United Nations Secretariat, is organizing a roundtable discussion on employment and inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace on Thursday 3 December 2020 at 9:00 – 10:30 am (EST).
A panel of disability experts and advocates will be sharing their insights and expertise to assist the United Nations in its journey to be a fully inclusive organization and answer the following questions:
How can we access the untapped pool of talent with disabilities and employ more persons with disabilities in the United Nations?
How can we ensure that persons with disabilities have access to participate in the activities in organization on an equal basis to others?
How can we better support our personnel with disabilities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic?
How can we become a truly inclusive organization that overcomes biases and embraces differences?
